Job Summary
A company is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Counsel (FERC) to join their Legal and Compliance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth legal advice and analysis on FERC rules, utility regulations, and other relevant requirements
- Draft, review, and refine compliance policies, procedures, and guidance documents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance considerations into business processes and initiatives
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in energy, regulatory, utility compliance, or related fields
- Direct experience working with FERC, utility regulation, and/or ISO/RTO market rules strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and articulate them in clear, actionable terms
- Track record of working strategically and collaboratively in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments
