New Home Star, in partnership with Communities by Grainger, is seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to join the Communities by Grainger team in Sycamore, IL! Communities by Grainger is a custom home builder that specializes in 55+ communities in Sycamore and Genoa, IL. They design and deliver beautiful homes that offer a worry-free 55+ lifestyle, without sacrificing quality materials and expert workmanship, as they believe that everything built should challenge the status quo and that customer satisfaction should be the top priority. The needs of each resident are taken into consideration when designing a custom home, balancing flexibility with customization with the stability of best practices.

New Home Star is looking to find a driven Sales Assistant to join this builder's close-knit team to support the sales and marketing efforts in their Sycamore and Genoa 55+ communities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff the sales office location and provide exceptional customer service and information to any visitors.
  • General office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Greeting office visitors and clients as they walk into the office.
  • The ability to succeed in a high customer traffic environment.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with each customer.
  • A base understanding of current technology for both reporting and social media.

Requirements:

  • Must have availability to work part-time 2-3 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday. Model home hours are 10am - 5pm.
  • High School diploma is required. Some college is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative, sales, or customer service role is preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail and time management skills are a necessity.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects will be needed in order to be successful in this role.
  • Experience with MS Office Suites such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Real estate experience is a plus.
  • Background checks required.

Benefits:

  • This position is a part-time role, with an hourly pay of $20 per hour.
  • $500 commission for each sale for which the Sales Assistant is the first point of contact while present in the model home.
