Job Summary
A company is looking for an Operating System Specialist with a focus on supporting USPS' Network and Compute Technology group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day incident and deployment support for multiple server operating systems and middle tier applications
- Manage incident response via the USPS ServiceNow application and perform technical leadership in incident response and maintenance
- Develop and implement procedures for proactive problem detection, disaster recovery, and maintain project plans while tracking inventory and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of systems support experience or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with USPS or active USPS Public Trust clearance
- Experience with middle tier technologies, including web and application servers, cloud platforms, and automation tools
- Strong knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems, as well as database technologies like Oracle RDBMS
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required to obtain and maintain USPS Public Trust clearance
