Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient entrance processes including scheduling, registration, benefit verification, and financial clearance
- Ensure accurate patient data is obtained and populated in the patient record
- Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and federal/state accreditation agencies
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of clerical experience preferred
- Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred
- High school diploma required; some college is helpful
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under stress
- Knowledgeable in various computer systems and able to use a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard
