Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Access Representative to verify prior authorization requirements and facilitate patient access to therapies.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate patient insurance coverage and communicate issues to management
- Check prior authorization requirements and initiate requests as needed
- Coordinate paperwork and follow up on authorization status throughout the approval process
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of payer payment processes and prior authorization procedures
- Familiarity with ICD9/10 and CPT codes, particularly therapy codes
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn CRM software
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously
- Experience in customer service and communication with various stakeholders
