A company is looking for a Patient Customer Service Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
- Place and receive phone calls to/from patients to gather payments for medical expenses while negotiating repayment terms
- Collect and document patient demographic and insurance information using internal technology platforms
- Educate patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and available repayment programs to improve financial well-being
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a call center environment preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience in medical/insurance coding and billing preferred
