A company is looking for an Authorization Coordinator, Hospice, Work From Home.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to hospice referrals
- Obtain referral or prior authorizations for patients to see specialty providers
- Serve as a resource to providers regarding the authorization process
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Preferred 2 years experience in a healthcare setting and insurance verification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9)
- Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions
