Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Coordinator, Hospice, Work From Home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to hospice referrals
  • Obtain referral or prior authorizations for patients to see specialty providers
  • Serve as a resource to providers regarding the authorization process
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
  • Preferred 2 years experience in a healthcare setting and insurance verification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9)
  • Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions
