Director of Development

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts and build relationships with funders.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement a fundraising strategy to grow and diversify the funder base
• Build and manage the board while fostering a culture of philanthropy
• Direct the work of the Grants Manager and Writer to meet annual fundraising goals

Qualifications and Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in frontline fundraising, preferably with individual and/or foundation giving
• At least two years of experience in managing and nurturing teams
• Experience working with boards of directors to enhance fundraising efforts
• Experience collaborating on a development team with regular progress evaluations
• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
