Electronic Data Interchange Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate billing and compliance of claims processed through Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software
• Conduct random audits for proper coding and follow up on complex insurance denials or unpaid balances
• Identify trends and report findings while performing other related duties as needed

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or GED required
• CPB, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CHONC preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, coding, or insurance collections
• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding terminology (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS), and insurance/reimbursement practices
• Experience in Medical Oncology, Radiology, Radiation, Laboratory, or Pathology preferred
