Job Summary
A company is looking for an Assistant Privacy Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to questions and allegations of noncompliance related to privacy laws, including conducting investigations and coordinating with other departments
- Develop and provide training and education to promote a culture of privacy protection
- Serve as the Privacy Officer, writing and editing applicable policies and participating in governance committees
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Information Management, Law, or a related field
- Knowledge and experience in HIPAA and other privacy laws, conducting investigations, and ePHI auditing
- Six or more years of progressive related work experience, including five years in healthcare
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities
