Senior Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel, Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate master SaaS licensing agreements and related contracts to ensure compliance with laws and public procurement rules
• Advise on public sector solicitations and support responses to RFPs and RFIs
• Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to provide training on public sector legal topics and contract negotiation strategies

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in-house commercial contracting experience with SaaS or software licensing
• Experience negotiating agreements with Federal, State, and Local government customers
• Strong understanding of GSA Schedule Cooperative Purchasing and state/local government procurement vehicles
• Familiarity with U.S., Canada, and E.U. data security and privacy laws
