Tax Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Tax Accountant to support income tax preparation, research, and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns and ensure timely payments
• Research technical tax and regulatory issues and reconcile tax general ledger accounts
• Collaborate with the team on special projects and respond to tax-related inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2 years of professional experience as a staff accountant
• Knowledge and/or experience with property tax is a plus
• Experience with Vertex, Avalara, or PTMS is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and advanced skills in Excel; Power user preferred
