Utilization Management Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Resource Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to utilization management case managers and assist in the utilization review processes
• Conduct daily data collection and manage communications with internal and external customers
• Enter approved length of stay and denials into the system, ensuring accurate documentation and collaboration with admitting staff

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a related field preferred
• 2-3 years of related experience preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology and community services/resources
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients and families
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment
