Job Summary
A company is looking for a Legal Counsel Director to support its in-house HR, Litigation, and Compliance legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide legal support for employment law and litigation matters
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders on pre-litigation and litigation-related matters
- Develop and review company employment policies, contracts, and deliver legal updates to HR and business leaders
Required Qualifications
- J.D. and excellent academic credentials, with membership in at least one provincial bar
- 6+ years of experience in Canadian HR and employment law from a law firm and/or in-house
- Dispute resolution and litigation experience
- Ability to manage multiple, complex issues across various business groups
- Expertise in evaluating and interpreting legal issues with high organization and efficiency
