Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Medical Director (Medicaid Medical Policy).

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and assess payment policy and medical coding information for policy maintenance and development
• Conduct thorough research and analysis for medical policy items and perform multi-faceted analytics
• Educate client-facing MDs and Client Policy Managers on new changes and policy updates

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (required); MBA degree preferred
• 10+ years of research experience
• Knowledge of healthcare payers, policy payment, and correct coding preferred
• In-depth knowledge of claims and medical policy rules
• Strong organizational and project management experience preferred
