State Licensed Senior Counsel, IP

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, IP & Competition.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IP matters, including software licensing and a small patent portfolio
• Oversee litigation in IP, competition, and regulatory matters, including amicus briefs
• Advise on competition regulations and represent the company in meetings with policymakers and regulators

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree and membership in a state bar with good standing
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in-house technology experience
• Strong knowledge of IP and some experience in competition law
• Experience managing litigation in the US
• Curiosity and insight about the technology sector, particularly regarding open source and competition
