A company is looking for a Verification/Authorization Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Review referral information for accuracy in the EMR system
- Obtain necessary authorizations while ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations
- Assist in the collection of client and payor information for accuracy
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years' experience in a medical office/home health benefit verification or billing
- Knowledge of commercial insurance carriers' guidelines for verification and authorization
- Familiarity with insurance billing and terminology
- Post-secondary education or training in business or medical billing/collections is preferred
