Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Comp Claims Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a queue of Workers' Compensation accounts and ensure timely submission of claims and documentation to insurance carriers
• Contact relevant parties to gather injury and insurance information, and provide support to patients regarding the Workers' Compensation process
• Review payments and denials, write appeals for denied claims, and maintain communication with insurance adjusters and other stakeholders

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
• 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, claims adjudication, or workers' compensation
• Strong customer service background with a positive attitude
• Proficient in data entry and familiar with MS Office applications
• Ability to manage a large workload efficiently and adapt to changing priorities
