Job Summary
A company is looking for a Crisis Counselor, fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with individuals over the phone, providing support to those experiencing emotional distress or mental health challenges
- Assess and mitigate risk while maintaining accurate documentation and providing resources as needed
- Intervene during emergencies and assist callers in developing safety plans and positive coping strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university
- Minimum of 1 year direct experience in Behavioral Health or Social Services
- Strong background in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related behavioral healthcare field
- Ability to maintain a secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace
- Flexibility to work holidays and weekends as part of a 24/7 crisis call center
