Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder - Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide coding and coding auditing services based on operative reports according to correct coding principles
• Analyze and translate medical diagnoses and procedures into designated numerical codes
• Act as a liaison to physicians and clinical teams, providing feedback on documentation and coding

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• 2+ years of physician billing experience, including at least 1 year of coding experience
• Diversified understanding of CPT guidelines and Medicare rules and regulations
• Knowledge of ICD-9/10 codes, CPT, and HCPCs
