We are looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join us on our journey to make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to get and stay healthy! As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play an essential role in empowering our customers to take their medications correctly and achieve better overall wellness. #everydaybetterKey job responsibilities• Tasks performed may include billing, data entry, obtaining prescriptions and refills,processing denials, transfers and inbound/outbound calls.• Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board ofpharmacy• Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies and insurance companies bytelephone and email to obtain prescriptions, take refill requests and resolve billingissues/questions.• Enter patients and order information into the pharmacy systems. Establish andmaintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients.• Process and submit prescription insurance claims for our customers along withresolving insurance problems and patient issues that may result from incorrect orincomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors.• Keeping patients informed on the status of their prescription or out of pocket costs intheir upcoming shipments.• Perform account adjustments, method of payment, banking and unbilledreconciliations• Verify insurance data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to billingincluding analyzing and verifying dates of service, quantity, day supply and billedamounts.• Research missing and incomplete information resulting in billing errors and denials• Complete prior authorizations with attention to detail and accuracy, prior to sendingto the prescriber or Cover My Meds• Transfer calls, tickets, claims, or shipments to the pharmacist when necessary• Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refillprescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices where permitted bystate law• Collect, organize, and evaluate patient information, while maintaining confidentialityof all information received.• Receive and transcribe English-language prescriptions sent electronically fromdoctors’ offices and external pharmacies.• Communicate with providers to obtain new written English-language prescriptions orrefill requests and verify that the information is complete and accurate.• Ensure compliance with all company procedures, federal/state laws, rules andregulations• Increasing knowledge and understanding of commonly prescribed medications andtheir uses.• Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customersatisfaction• Perform other tasks assigned while working in a fast paced environment• Work a flexible schedule – shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal businesshours including weekendsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Active and unrestricted in-State Board of Pharmacy License (This includes PharmacyTechnician, Trainee, and Assistant Licenses).
