Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Attorney (Public Sector) to support its U.S. based customer engagement team in negotiating government contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate state and local government contracts, particularly in SaaS, AI, and data privacy
• Serve as the primary legal contact for the sales team, advising on RFPs and contract matters
• Determine when to escalate complex issues to the General Counsel in Australia

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in negotiating government contracts
• Familiarity with SaaS, AI, and data privacy regulations
• Ability to operate independently and collaborate with business teams
• Experience in public sector commercial frameworks
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification
