Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage financial and insurance information for patients remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy and completeness of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients
• Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements prior to patient discharge
• Resolve issues related to primary insurance and coordination of benefits (COB) information

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing
• Knowledge of insurance coverage and COB rules
• Experience with insurance payor systems
• EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology preferred
