A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage financial and insurance information for patients remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy and completeness of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients
- Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements prior to patient discharge
- Resolve issues related to primary insurance and coordination of benefits (COB) information
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing
- Knowledge of insurance coverage and COB rules
- Experience with insurance payor systems
- EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology preferred
