Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist for a full-time remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and verify the accuracy of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patients
• Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements prior to patient discharge
• Resolve discrepancies in insurance accounts and determine primary insurance information

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing
• Experience with insurance payor systems
• Preferred experience with EPIC and ICD-10 medical terminology
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
