A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate financial clearance activities, including patient demographic and insurance verification
  • Obtain referral authorizations and precertification numbers while ensuring compliance with insurance requirements
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve financial clearance issues and maintain accurate patient records
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • 1-3 years of hospital registration and/or insurance experience, with at least one year in a customer service role
  • General knowledge of healthcare terminology and insurance processes
  • Experience with Epic or similar healthcare management systems preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite applications
