A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate financial clearance activities, including patient demographic and insurance verification
- Obtain referral authorizations and precertification numbers while ensuring compliance with insurance requirements
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve financial clearance issues and maintain accurate patient records
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
- 1-3 years of hospital registration and/or insurance experience, with at least one year in a customer service role
- General knowledge of healthcare terminology and insurance processes
- Experience with Epic or similar healthcare management systems preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite applications
