Managed Care Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Managed Care Coordinator to join their Specialty Pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient benefits and obtain authorizations for services
• Verify insurance benefits and facilitate prior authorization activities
• Track patient progress and manage re-authorizations as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; some college work preferred
• Minimum of one year experience with patient accounts in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of insurance, prior authorization, and patient benefits preferred
• Computer experience is mandatory
• Must be eligible for participation in all applicable State and Federal reimbursement programs
