Operations Research Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Operations Research Scientist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops business requirements and implements advanced analytical methods to create business models and software applications
• Leads teams in managing data, performing testing, and writing technical documentation for analytical projects
• Communicates with various departments to resolve problems and develops ad hoc reports based on management requests

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no experience
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, SAS, SQL, and/or Python
• Familiarity with optimization, simulation, ML, or supply chain modeling engines
• Knowledge of cloud computing environments like Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, or Power BI
