Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve patient accounts by contacting payors and patients, updating information, and documenting actions taken
• Maintain productivity goals by managing account inventory and addressing any issues or delays in payment
• Participate in meetings and training to enhance job knowledge and assist with special projects as needed

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate various system applications
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
• Understanding of the revenue cycle process and familiarity with insurance types such as Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid
