Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative-Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve uncollected account balances by contacting payors and patients
• Document account activities and maintain productivity goals while adhering to quality standards
• Assist with special projects and communicate findings effectively

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of experience in medical claims and/or hospital collections
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate patient accounting applications
• Minimum typing requirement of 45 words per minute
• Understanding of the revenue cycle process, including insurance collections and billing procedures
