Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances for medical services and determining eligibility for assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen patients for eligibility of State and Federal programs and assist with applications
  • Maintain thorough documentation on patient accounts and ensure timely follow-up on applications
  • Advise patients on appropriate assistance programs and maintain positive relationships throughout the process
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Prefer previous customer service or call center experience
  • Prefer experience with medical coding or billing
  • Proficient PC knowledge with typing ability of 30-40 wpm
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent organizational skills
