Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances for medical services and determining eligibility for assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen patients for eligibility of State and Federal programs and assist with applications
- Maintain thorough documentation on patient accounts and ensure timely follow-up on applications
- Advise patients on appropriate assistance programs and maintain positive relationships throughout the process
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prefer previous customer service or call center experience
- Prefer experience with medical coding or billing
- Proficient PC knowledge with typing ability of 30-40 wpm
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent organizational skills
