Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Access Specialist (Remote in Eau Claire, WI area after training).

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact for patients and customers, providing assistance in-person and via telephone
• Complete financial clearance activities, including appointment scheduling, referral completion, and pre-registration
• Provide exceptional customer service to meet the needs of both internal and external customers

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum education requirement: None specified
• Preferred: Completion of a vocational technical health unit coordinator, medical office specialist, or related program
• Preferred: Completion of a medical terminology course
• Minimum experience: Proficiency in using a computer and telephone
• Preferred: Knowledge of medical insurance and one year of experience in a healthcare facility
