A company is looking for a Director, Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate and implement a strategic payroll vision while managing bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for over 800 employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and develop best practices for payroll processes
- Lead the Payroll team and maintain partnerships with internal departments to align payroll functions with organizational objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred; MBA or payroll certifications are a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of payroll experience with at least 7 years in a leadership role managing complex multi-state payroll
- Experience with Workday and its optimization is required; Workday HCM certification in Payroll preferred
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional project teams involving HR, Finance, and Legal stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of payroll-related laws and a strong proficiency in Excel and data management
