Texas Licensed RX Refill Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an RX Refill Specialist to support patients with prescription refills and telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities

• Process prescription refill requests from patients and pharmacies via calls, live chat, and electronic transmission
• Communicate with providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies to ensure timely medication access for patients
• Maintain accurate documentation of all prescription refill interactions in the EMR system

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution (required)
• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician course and/or formal Medical Assistant training program (required)
• Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Pharmacy Technician licensure/certification (preferred)
• 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant in prescription refills (preferred)
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athena Health (preferred)
