Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter - Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite mortgage loans with a primary focus on VA loans, ensuring compliance with company and investor policies
• Maintain knowledge of current underwriting procedures and perform initial underwrites while meeting service level agreements (SLAs)
• Communicate effectively with sales and operations staff, ensuring a high-quality customer experience

Required Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of residential mortgage underwriting experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent; VA SAR and FHA DE Certifications preferred
• Expertise in VA IRRRL and FHA Streamline preferred
• Experience using Encompass and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong mathematical and judgment skills, with the ability to work independently
