Job Summary
A company is looking for a Collection Specialist I to provide phone service while collecting payments for medical expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Place and receive phone calls to/from patients to collect payment for medical expenses and negotiate repayment terms
- Collect and document relevant patient information using internal technology platforms and educate patients on financial options
- Establish relationships with peers to foster a collaborative team environment and meet performance indicators
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED (Completed or Actively Enrolled)
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth preferred
- Basic understanding of contact center processes and techniques preferred
- Proficient in typing 45 words per minute required
