Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist I to provide phone service while collecting payments for medical expenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Place and receive phone calls to/from patients to collect payment for medical expenses and negotiate repayment terms
• Collect and document relevant patient information using internal technology platforms and educate patients on financial options
• Establish relationships with peers to foster a collaborative team environment and meet performance indicators

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED (Completed or Actively Enrolled)
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity preferred
• 1+ year(s) of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth preferred
• Basic understanding of contact center processes and techniques preferred
• Proficient in typing 45 words per minute required
