Job Summary
A company is looking for a Utilization Management Pharmacy Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the process for utilization management requests, including entering authorizations and managing communications
- Support members in specialty management programs by coordinating prior authorizations and addressing billing questions
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff and medical directors on utilization management activities and ensure compliance with guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a PBM or similar setting
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit designs
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
