Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intake - Insurance Verification Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter referrals and patient information into appropriate systems within established timeframes
  • Communicate with referral sources and patients regarding documentation, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for services as required
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • One year of experience in healthcare administration, financial services, insurance customer service, claims, or billing
  • Experience in a Medicare certified HME, IV, or HH environment is preferred
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple online EMR systems
  • Knowledge of payer guidelines and insurance policies
