Job Summary
A company is looking for an Intake - Insurance Verification Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter referrals and patient information into appropriate systems within established timeframes
- Communicate with referral sources and patients regarding documentation, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for services as required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One year of experience in healthcare administration, financial services, insurance customer service, claims, or billing
- Experience in a Medicare certified HME, IV, or HH environment is preferred
- Proficiency in navigating multiple online EMR systems
- Knowledge of payer guidelines and insurance policies
