Kansas Licensed Production Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Production Underwriter responsible for underwriting and marketing accounts while developing new business and managing agency relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and market accounts to develop new business and manage assigned agencies
• Analyze financial risks and monitor loss ratios to ensure profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents to promote products and services

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of commercial underwriting experience or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, processes, and practices
• Extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in underwriting or relationship management roles
• Property & Casualty Agent's license in residing state, or willingness to obtain
• CPCU, AU-M, CIC designations are a plus
