Medical Coding Team Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately, ensuring maximum reimbursement and minimal denials
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation for coding purposes and monitor regulatory changes in coding
• Provide guidance to team members, manage performance metrics, and oversee team time management and recruitment efforts

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of experience in medical coding and auditing
• Nationally recognized coding credential (e.g., CPC, COC, CCS) through AHIMA/AAPC
• Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, CDT, and ICD-10 codes
• Experience in professional/outpatient physician and/or multi-specialty coding preferred
