Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Intake Advocate responsible for addressing member, client, and provider inquiries while educating members on the Patient Advocacy Center process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the main phone line and address all inquiries in a timely manner
- Document events related to medical claims and maintain a daily inventory of claims
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and keep the Lead Patient Advocate informed of critical matters
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma and one (1) year of relevant experience
- Experience in a medical healthcare claims role dealing with facilities, providers, and members
- Background in healthcare claims management with the ability to interpret benefit plans
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage high call volumes
- PC literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
