Senior Excess Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter (Excess) to evaluate excess insurance applications and determine coverage and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze insurance applications and risk characteristics to determine coverage and pricing
• Approve or decline applications and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulations
• Collaborate with the underwriting team and cultivate relationships with producers to achieve production goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 5 years of underwriting or related insurance experience required
• Experience underwriting risk for classes such as construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software quickly
