Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Vice President & Counsel, Advanced Markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of attorneys and consultants to support distribution partners and provide expertise on complex life insurance planning
• Drive collaboration on advanced case design and execute large life insurance planning strategies
• Oversee risk governance for Advanced Markets activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 12-15+ years of legal experience in life insurance, estate and business planning, or advanced sales
• Recognized public speaker with experience engaging audiences on legal and planning topics
• Deep understanding of U.S. tax code related to life insurance and estate planning
• Experience advising on ERISA and employee benefit plans
