Animal Nutrition Sales Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Feed Sales Specialist to focus on animal nutrition and feed sales in the SW corner of Missouri.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted prospect calls to develop new and existing business growth, primarily focusing on Cattle and Equine animal owners
• Analyze sales data to track growth, identify underperforming areas, and develop action plans to enhance Purina feed business
• Develop Joint Business Plans with cooperatives and dealers to support sales growth strategies incorporating Purina feed programs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related agricultural/business field, or equivalent proven sales and industry experience
• 5+ years of field sales experience with an emphasis on animal science/nutrition and a record of customer base growth
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays as necessary
• Good understanding of animal husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines
• Strong computer skills, including MS Outlook, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
