Insurance Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Billing Specialist to manage insurance verification and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to resolve insurance-related inquiries and ensure a positive patient experience
• Conduct in-depth insurance verification and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement
• Review, correct, and submit claims rejected by the clearing house, providing timely updates as needed

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional insurance billing and eligibility experience
• Expert knowledge of commercial insurance billing, benefit investigations, and pre-certification requirements
• Strong understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
• Experience in appeals and denials management, including drafting appeal letters
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR/EMR platforms
