Insurance Verification Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate patient registration and performs eligibility verification and pre-authorizations
• Coordinates financial arrangements and collects payments for services rendered
• Maintains communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments to enhance patient experience

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• One or more years of relevant work experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and familiarity with database programs
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and exposure to insurance benefits
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus; certifications such as CHAA or CRCR preferred
