Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist (REMOTE).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate Veterans Administration (VA) claim payments using proprietary software and tools
• Research and acquire necessary medical records to submit with hospital claims for prompt reimbursement
• Conduct follow-up with payers to ensure claims have been received and facilitate reimbursement

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2-4+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections
• 2+ years of client-facing/customer service experience
• 1+ years of experience with VA billing and collections required
• Intermediate understanding of insurance claims processing and government benefit programs
