Job Summary
A company is looking for a Member Advocate I to act as a liaison between the Health Plan and Members, ensuring access to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to Member complaints and grievances, identifying and resolving access barriers
- Investigate access and cultural sensitivity issues raised by various stakeholders
- Engage with local community organizations to understand Members' health care needs and update educational materials
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid preferred
- Fluency in Russian, Mandarin, or Cantonese highly preferred
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality
