Patient Account Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA).

Key Responsibilities

• Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications, verifying eligibility
• Communicate with patients to respond to inquiries and assist with billing questions
• Work with insurance companies and other parties to secure payment of accounts

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of 1 year experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
• Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
• Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications and 10-key calculators
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision
