Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances and applying for assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen patients for eligibility of State and Federal assistance programs
- Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance programs and provide guidance throughout the process
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow up on patient accounts until benefits are secured or applications are completed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
- Experience with medical coding or billing is preferred
- Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
