Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist patients in resolving account balances and applying for assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen patients for eligibility of State and Federal assistance programs
  • Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance programs and provide guidance throughout the process
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow up on patient accounts until benefits are secured or applications are completed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Experience with medical coding or billing is preferred
  • Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
