PC Authorization Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a PC Authorization Associate I, PRN-Evenings.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies and third-party payers to determine pre-certification and medical necessity requirements
• Obtain pre-certification or pre-authorization prior to scheduled services
• Liaison with physicians and office staff to gather necessary information and notify payers of admissions when required

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or related healthcare experience
• Three years of related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university preferred
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred
